The Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana processes ~50,000 daily claims, with only 15–20% auto-adjudicated, highlighting the need for scalable, AI-driven solutions.

The Auto-Adjudication Hackathon aims to enable faster, transparent claims processing, with the finale being hosted at Indian Institute of Science, Bengalore.

Prof. Phaneendra K. Yalavarthy Joins MoHFW Committee for SAHI Roadmap

Following the launch of the SAHI strategy at the India AI Impact Summit 2026, the National Health Authority has appointed Prof. Phaneendra K. Yalavarthy to its high-level implementation committee.

The SAHI mission aims to integrate AI into healthcare through ethical, evidence-based, and inclusive practices, shaping an equitable digital health future for India.

Launch of TANUH - Renal Health Vertical

12th March 2026

On the occasion of World Kidney Day 2026, TANUH AI-CoE launched its Renal Health Vertical on 12th March 2026, advancing kidney care through AI and clinical collaboration.

With Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) affecting over 850M people globally and an estimated 115M in India, the initiative focuses on AI-driven early detection, risk prediction, and proactive disease management.

On the occasion of World Kidney Day 2026, TANUH AI-CoE launched its Renal Health Vertical on 12th March 2026, advancing kidney care through AI and clinical collaboration.

TANUH Wins 3rd Prize at NHCX 2026!

11th April 2026

Team TANUH secured 3rd Prize at the NHCX Hackathon 2026 (IIT Hyderabad) for building an open-source microservice that converts insurance PDFs into NHCX-aligned FHIR bundles.

The award, presented by NHA CEO Shri Sunil Kumar Barnwal, marks our second NHA recognition in two months, reflecting continued efforts toward interoperable digital health infrastructure in India.

TANUH secures Second Position!

TANUH team secured Second Position in the Diabetic Retinopathy track at the national-level Federated Intelligence Hackathon, jointly organised by IIT Kanpur, NHA, ICMR, and NIRDHDS.
With 3 models developed by the TANUH team ranked in the top 5, the solution focused on AI-based diabetic retinopathy detection, highlighting TANUH’s leadership in federated learning, responsible AI, and scalable healthcare innovation.

IISc Wins Best Exhibit at IMC 2025

11th April 2026

IISc’s AI-based oral cancer screening tool, Aarogya Aarohan, has won the Best Education Institute Exhibit of the Year at the India Mobile Congress 2025.

Developed by TANUH, in collaboration with ARTPARK and Triveous, this mobile-first, offline-ready tool enables frontline workers to detect early-stage oral cancers in real time. A step towards accessible, AI-powered healthcare in India.
