Prof. Phaneendra K. Yalavarthy Joins MoHFW Committee for SAHI Roadmap

Following the landmark launch of the Strategy for Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare for India (SAHI) at the India AI Impact Summit on February 17, 2026, the National Health Authority (NHA) of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, has announced a key addition to the committee tasked with its execution.

Prof. Phaneendra K. Yalavarthy (Chief Project Manager of TANUH) has been appointed as a core member of the high-level committee constituted to formulate the SAHI Implementation Roadmap. The committee operates under the chairmanship of the CEO of the NHA.

The SAHI Mission

The SAHI framework serves as the national blueprint for integrating AI into the clinical landscape. Its primary objectives include:
