8th & 9th May 2026

The Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna (AB-PMJAY) ecosystem is transforming digital health in India, processing around 50,000 claims daily across 1,900+ packages. This makes speed, accuracy, and compliance in adjudication essential. While 15-20% of claims are auto-adjudicated today, a scalable, package agnostic solution, remains a critical gap.

Given the scale and complexity of claims, there is a strong need for an auto-adjudication system that can handle diverse treatments and document types. Leveraging automation, AI based fraud detection, standardised documentation, and realtime verification can fully digitise claims by delivering faster, consistent, and transparent outcomes.

The AB PMJAY Auto-Adjudication Hackathon aims to drive innovative digital solutions that seamlessly integrate with existing AB-PMJAY infrastructure, reduce manual effort, speed up processing, and build a scalable, future-ready adjudication framework for the entire ecosystem.

The finale of the Auto‑Adjudication Hackathon will be hosted at AV Rama Rao Auditorium, IISc, Bengaluru on 8th and 9th of May 2026. As part of the program, an award ceremony will be conducted to recognise outstanding solutions. Winner teams will be invited to deliver presentations before officials from the National Health Authority (NHA) and the Jury Panel.
