The Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) has granted TANUH a test licence under Form MD-13 of the Medical Devices Rules, 2017, for Aarogya Aarohan, its AI-based point-of-care screening tool for oral cancer. Issued by the Central Licensing Authority on 6 August 2026, the licence is valid for three years and permits deployment of the application across 24 devices for clinical investigation.
The test licence marks an important regulatory milestone in Aarogya Aarohan's pathway from research prototype to a clinically validated screening tool and reflects TANUH's commitment to developing AI-enabled health technologies that meet national regulatory standards while addressing gaps in early cancer detection across India.
