The World Head & Neck Cancer Day Event (WHNCDE) 2026 and the 7th Oral Cancer Task Force (OCTF) Annual Conference were convened by Biocon Foundation India, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), and TANUH at BITS Pilani Goa on July 27-28, 2026.
The conference brought together leading oncologists, public health experts, AI researchers, policymakers, implementation partners and experts to advance India’s roadmap towards oral cancer elimination. The conference also brought together experts from Tata Memorial Hospital, the Government of Goa and leading academic, clinical and public health institutions from India and abroad.
As the knowledge and implementation partner, TANUH showcased its AI-enabled point-of-care oral screening platform, Aarogya Aarohan, designed to help frontline healthcare workers identify suspicious oral lesions using smartphone-based white-light imaging. Other sessions discussed the nature of AI-enabled screening in high-risk populations, digital innovations for community-based screening, implementation research, and strategies for integrating artificial intelligence into public health programmes.
These discussions reinforced TANUH's commitment to developing scalable, evidence-based digital health solutions for improving early cancer detection across India.
